Founder & CEO, Ops by Carina
I've spent over a decade in the events industry, starting in hotels and resorts, where I worked my way up through food and beverage and banquets before moving into sales and event management. From there I moved into the corporate world, eventually landing in a business operations role at a product management and product marketing educational company built around being market-driven and solving real problems for real people.
During my time there I worked in leadership, built out processes, systems, software, and various teams, and learned about the industry as a whole. One thing remained true: a company cannot scale without the proper infrastructure in place.
That path taught me something I still believe: the meetings and events industry remains special because it's built entirely around human connection. That's something no system or piece of technology can replace. My goal is to help events business owners build the operations that let them scale, so they can stay focused on what actually matters instead of being stuck in the operator role.
A little more about me: I grew up in Kodiak, Alaska, a small fishing town, but even as a kid I was eager to see more of the world. I planned my first event at six years old, my parents' wedding, and I've been fascinated by how things fit together ever since. That curiosity followed me into college, where I studied Psychology and found myself especially drawn to Organizational Psychology, learning how human behavior, social structures, and mental processes shape the workplace.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me hiking around Colorado Springs with my two golden retrievers and my baby, or curled up at home with a book.
I'm so excited to learn about your events business and see how we can work together.
Great events aren't the product of effort alone. They're the product of operations built well enough to hold up under real conditions.
Effort without operational discipline is just a wish list. I build the systems that let a business run without you holding it together.
What works for one event should work for ten. I design programs and processes for growth, not just the next deadline.
No program should depend on one person's memory or willingness to burn out. Good systems protect the team, too.
Bring me in to review the operations and systems behind your events business.
